03/22/06: Redefining Paradox
Paradox started as an effort to start a church for people who were seeking to understand the first century church and rethinking how we "do" church today. In the process, we've come to the point where we are no longer interested in "doing" church, but instead we have turn to seek what it means to "be" the church. Originally we set out to connect with a certain group of people - our peers - and would pretty much exclude all others. Today, we've found many people from many walks of life who share with us a desire to rediscover the church as God intended.

Recently, we began to redefine the point and purpose of Paradox. Instead of simply being one group of simple churches, we've been given the opportunity to begin networking together multiple like-minded groups. There are many around the city and surrounding region who God has called together in a similar fashion and it is time to start bringing us all together to realize that we are a part of something larger than ourselves. Keep posted for more details.

02/24/05: Speaking at Cornerstone Music Festival
Brian has again been invited to speak at Cornerstone Music Festival this year. He will be a part of the Ministry to Underground Subcultures seminar series and will be speaking daily. His seminar will be on building places to build connections with people, the "simple church" approach to living, and a little bit of conversation on the "Kingdom of God" that Jesus spoke of. The festival is being held July 5-8 in Bushnell, IL and hosts over 300 bands across 10 different stages. See their website for more information.

01/28/05: A Call To All Who Are Willing...
There is more to the Christian life than "getting people saved" and training them to do likewise. There is more to Jesus' speaking about the Kingdom of God than a view of heaven and a life-ever-after. What is really meant when we talk about salvation? Salvation from what? What does this look like in our daily living?

Join us on our online community site (http://community.pdox.org) as we begin to discuss this further.

01/27/05: Revelation Tattoos
We've finally found a location to start up our tattoo studio. Revelation Tattoos will be located on Alexis Rd, about half-way between Douglas Rd. and Jackman Rd. on the south side of the street at the stop light in front of Timber Run apartments. We plan on opening the first week of March with an official "Grand Opening" the following weekend. More information will posted shortly as we bring our website online.
